So a few weeks ago we went out to lunch for a bunch of friends' birthdays and my sister made them these way cute cards with this paper that I loved. Being the crafty person that she is, she made some picture frames with the same paper for me and brought them over (thanks Steph!). I was reallly getting sick of everything being red, black and white so I thought I'd figure a way to bring out the color in these frames.

Now, I am not a crafty person, or a great decorator but I thought
maybe I could pull off red with turquoise (our couches are red, so I don't have a choice there). I REALLY want to paint the entire house, but Andrew's not so hip on that idea, so I think this looks better at least for now...

Then since our living room, dining room, and kitchen are pretty much one room, I got some plates to match to hang in the dining room. These might come down soon since I think I've convinced Andrew to hang beadboard 5-6 ft. high in the dining room (finger crossed)... Am I the only one that has a husband that freaks out if any hole is put in the wall....? Just wondering, not complaining :)

And of course, the kids had to paint while I was painting frames... it started out OK, but by the end Tyson had painted the table and chair he was using and had just started on the sheetrock when I caught him (luckily they were down stairs!). Little stinker.... I mean sweet little boy...
