August Misc.

The first weekend in Aug. we went to Utah and got a new van! Love it. We've switched a few vehicles this summer. Just one car left to sell and hope it happens soon :)
One morning Hallie & Janessa got up early and surprised Andrew with breakfast and lunch. So cute :)
Hallie had a loose tooth that she wanted out now! I think this picture is funny...the pliers didn't work of course but the 2 of them did get it out that night.
Janessa dressed Grant up with her beads made into jewelry.
Grant letting Hallie floss his teeth. He always wanted Hallie to get him ready for bed during the summer. They are best pals.
We went to the duck races at the river and the kids were able to make tool boxes at the Home Depot booth (with Grandma & Grandpa's help).
 Grant & Steven watching-
Our backyard fence is now finished! It looks so nice :)
Tyson and Grant being ninjas (Ty helped G put a sword in his belt loop)!
Everyone got hair cuts before school started. Janessa cut off quite a few inches!!
I love Janessa's imagination. She can play for hours with her Littlest Pet Shop animals. I hope she never grows out of it :)
 Chuckar's game-
Grant and Chloe on a bike ride.
Tyson lost his 3rd tooth and since then has lost 2 more!
Hallie had to have a bump removed by the dentist. Poor girl. The stitches all came out on their own so that was nice. Between my root canal and everything else dental related I think we've been there at least 8 times in the last 6 weeks!
First day of school was Aug. 27th... Grant was so mad he didn't get to stay and asks several times each day 'Where'd they go?'...I miss them just as much :)
Sweet, we're officially caught up with summer posts! Monday I start 6 credits and Andrew is signed up for 5 through the new Pathway program. We are praying he can get home on Thurs. nights by 7:00 or find a new job soon! Hopefully this will all work out!! It's going to get crazy!

Pine Basin Family Reunion Aug. 17-18th

My parents were in charge of the Davies reunion this year. They rented the Pine Basin lodge, and boy did it bring back a lot of memories (good and bad)! I went to summer camps there two years in a row when I was 5th grade or so. Hallie chose not to go this year and the second she walked inside she was so glad she had made that choice! The place has not changed a bit, especially not the mattresses.
We, of course, had a fabulous time though! We were also celebrating our grandparents 60th wedding anniversary that weekend which was very special. My cousin put together a phtot book that we all worked together making for them. It turned out awesome and they loved it.
Malarie was on this major 'find-every-bug-out-there-and-save-it-for-a-pet' kick which my kids were hesitant about at first but soon jumped in. They had bugs in all kinds of "homes".
The theme was "60's" and my dad did a great job cutting out cute words for everyone to paint. He also had several 60's trivia games.
Cousins picture- Demetri, Madelynn, Tyson, Darian, Grant, Malarie, & Janessa
We enjoyed wading in the creek a few times.

S'mores Friday night of course! I've had more s'mores this summer than I think I have my entire life :) Good thing they're delicious.
Along with the 60's theme, everyone brought stuff to tie-dye..

Boys and the dirt...at least I always knew where they were :) This is Braxton, Kolbin, Ty, and G
I love these people so much- Dad, Alesia, Renee, Blair, and Grandpa & Grandma
Ty & Brooklyn on the much-fought-over tire swing!
More 60's games. Grandma and Alesia taught the girls how to play marbles.
 Group wading picture-
Fun weekend! Wish we saw them all more often.

New Family Pictures 8/11

It feels so good to have updated pictures!! Our ward had a service auction and I got this photo session from my friend Brandi. I feel really guilty not paying for them, especially since they turned out so great!

Island Park July 27-29th

Last year my parents rented their friends' cabin in Island Park and we all loved it so much they got it again this year! This picture is what made the whole weekend- everyone was there!!
There were lots and lots of bike rides...

Lots of just hangin' out time...
 Briggy and Granty best buds-
Hallie painting grandma's toe nails :)
Lynn loving his picture taken...or not :)
On Saturday afternoon we went down to Big Springs. Here's an attempt at all the kids together wading their feet-
 It is so beautiful there-
  A little hike-
Back for dinner Sat. night...waiting for the dutch ovens, yummy.
I made Andrew a bracelet that said 'Stacey lover'. It was funny until I remembered his (guy) friend at UPS is named Stacey...!
There was lots of painting going on and when all the rocks were covered Janessa made us this sweet plate with her hand print. Love it.
Tyson always makes sure he gets the "bowl" of the watermelon.

 Late night tennis match...
 ...with wet hair. Nice babe...
Sunday we drove into Yellowstone Park. Andrew had never been there and neither had the kids. Sad, I know. So we made it a must since we were already so close. Waiting for Old Faithful...
 waiting...
 woohooo!

 Picnic before heading home-
 Stopping at other geysers-
Quick family picture. It's hard to see the rainbow of colors behind us.
Fun, fun weekend! Thanks mom & dad!!
