First Day of School

Hallie & Janessa both had a great first day of school. Hallie is in 2nd grade and Ness is in afternoon kindergarten. They both have several friends in their class and they both lucked out with awesome teachers. Janessa's still just a little upset that Hallie gets 3 recesses and she only gets 1, but if that's the biggest complaint I'd say we're in good shape :)

Last Day of Summer

A bunch of my friends and I decided to take the kids ice-blocking the day before school started. I don't know why we've never done this before because they had a BLAST! There were 19 kids altogether and we're just lucky that no one ran into each other or got hurt because that hill side was COVERED in kids, towels, and ice! This is something we'll definantly have to remember for next summer!

Janessa's fun evening....

Last Tues. Janessa thought it would be fun to put a little flower bead from a broken bracelett in her ear. Why? I don't know. So I was talking to my friend Nichelle on the phone when Hallie broke the news to me so Nichelle stopped and picked up Hallie & Tyson while I ran Ness to Community Care (which on the way Nichelle calls to tell me she called and found the one with the shortest wait- I don't know what I'd do without her!). So anyway, the nurse flushed her ear with water but the dang thing won't budge so the doctor came in and tried to hook it with a couple different tools (hence the white stick thing in the picture) with no luck. So the doctor says they won't be able to get it out there, we'll have to go to the E.R. & I'm like crap! I do not want to spend the evening there, my dinner's half cooked and I had a meeting in an hour. So the sweet nurse says let me flush it one more time and I was of course yes, yes please. And FINALLY here comes the little blue flower bead, which my grandma admits she gave her the day before...thanks grandma! Anyway, it was an eventful evening Janessa promised me we'd never have to do again :)

Family Reunion

My parents were in charge of the Davies family reunion this year. We had it a Cherry Hill in Utah which is a campground/waterpark. All the kids had a BLAST!! The first night was a "hawaiin luau" and my mom went ALL out! I didn't take my camera into the water park part but we got some pretty funny pictures of some of the games. I won't embarrass any of my relatives, so here's some pretty funny ones of Andrew & the kids-!

An attempt at family pictures.....

My sister and I decided to meet at the park and take family pictures of each other. We figured if they didn't turn out great we had nothing to lose. Her's turned out pretty good but our little Tyson would NOT smile for anything! Little stinker...
Here's all the grandkids. We're making this into a mouse pad for grandpa's desk at work-

Janessa's Dance Recital

I couple of weeks ago (I'm trying to play catch-up) Janessa had her cute dance performace across the street. We have 2 neighbor girls who put together a little dance class in their backyards to earn some money. They taught the girls a dance, game them a tutu they had made (which were way cute!), then did a little performance for the parents. Nessa did a great job and had a fun time with her cousin Malarie!!

Swimming Lessons

The past 2 weeks Hallie & Janessa have had 8:30 swimming lessons every morning. I don't know what I was thinking signing up at that time 'cause they had a heck of a time waking up, but once they got there they were OK. Hallie is a fish. She'll do anything the teacher asks and every year moves up to the next level. Janessa is a different story. This is her 3rd year at the beginner level and she still didn't pass!!! She tries, but can NOT float on her back for 10 seconds. Luckily she'll be in a whole different set of classes for kids over 6 next year, so she won't be in with the 3 year-olds :).

The spectators-. Tyson and Emery were so good to sit with us and watch. The last day Andrew and Thomas were able to be there to see the girls jump off the diving board-
