A Day in the Life of Hallie

Here's a typical day in the life of our sweet Hallie. She wasn't very happy that I was going to be taking pictures of her all day :). Her first thing to do every morning is eat cereal. Her favorites are Apple Jacks and Fruity Pebbles.Next is hair. We cut off about 6 inces a couple weeks ago. I guess she's old enough to decide how long hair her hair is. She had to talk me into it though :)Off to school. Andrew leaves at that time every morning so he takes her on his way. It seems like she's gone all day, but thank goodness she loves it and has lots of good friends there. After school is her 2nd lunch. She's always STARVING and always wants a full meal when she gets home! Looks like today was mini corn dogs, a favorite :)Today was a Thurs. so she had gymnastics, although this is her usual after school attire. She is constantly doing handstands onto the couch or running down the hall and doing a round-off or anything similiar. I think I embarrased her at gym, she would NOT look at the weird lady with the camera! Her teacher is my sister, Stephanie, and thankfully she grabbed her (and her friend Riley) so I could get a decent picture. Steph does a great job, we couldn't ask for a better teacher :)After class I talked her into doing a bridge and she was OK with that. She's a bean pole, isn't she?!After gym is dinner and a bath or shower. She was a little upset I was putting this picture on but it was so cute I couldn't resist. (Sorry babe)! We love you Hallie, thanks for being our sweet big girl :)!

Program & Tooth

I feel so overwhelmed right now trying to get ready for Christmas! This is the last week to shop while kids are in school and my time is running out! Here's a couple of fun things we've done lately:

Hallie's grade had a Christmas musical program last Wed. It was very cute, she sang her heart out! The top picture isn't great, it was dark and we weren't super close but of course she looks adorable-

Then last Thurs. Janessa lost her 1st tooth!! It was just starting to be a little loose and she accidently bit down on it really hard while eating dinner and it started bleading and practically came out all by itself. She was so excited! We were watching a family in our ward last week when it happened and they all thought she got jipped because their tooth fairy brings $5 a tooth, not $1, and since it came to their house why did she only get 1??.... uhhh sorry honey :)

Thanksgiving Weekend

Picture overload!! We had so much fun this last week, I wanted to be sure to record everything :). Last Wed. night we headed to Boise. Here's what Hallie & Janessa worked on with Grandma & Grandpa's K'Nex- Hallie made 2 bridges....
...and Janessa made MANY snowflakes!
Fri. Andrew's dad wanted to show us the new snowplows he just got in (he's the purchaser for the state of Idaho). Very cool & huge!Tyson was thrilled because in the same parking lot was MATER!! He is SO in love with the movie Cars and totally thought this was the real thing!!That night we went to their Festival of Trees. We usually go if we're there for Thanksgiving. Very awesome and impressive!
Sat. we went up to visit my friend and her family. Here's Hallie & Mya- these 2 are only 12 days apart and were so excited to see each other again.
Janessa and Maele also had a great time together :)
Sat. night we went to dinner then to Jasmin (Andrew's sister ) & Jim's new house to play a little Rock Band. Very fun & funny, the kids especially loved the drums!
Sun. night my mom cooked Thanksgiving at their house (we've never been so well-fed, so many days in a row!) . Here's the girls with Malarie making sugar cookes. They were delicious!!Then last night (Tues.) we put up the Christmas tree, Yeah! Last year was our first year with a fake tree- I miss the yummy smell, but man they are so much easier and cleaner!Right when we get ready to put on the lights, we plug them in and half are dead, so at 8:00 I run and buy more lights (always our luck :)! It still needs a few more things, but for now here's our beautiful tree. It's definantly starting to feel like Christmas around here!!

Family Pictures

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU HANNA!
I am so excited to finally have new family pictures! (It's been over 2 years) My friend Hanna took our pictures then edited them- there were so many good ones, I can't even decide my favorite! My new year's resolution is definantly going to be to learn photoshop, it can totally change the look of a picture. I especially love the sepia and the b&w with the red hightlights. Thanks again Hanna :)

A day in the life of Janessa......

Our sweet Janessa has a hard time waking up in the morning, she is always the last up and usually gets herself to the couch and that's about it! She is such a cuddle-bug and LOVES her blankie! After getting ready for the day (which sometimes isn't until 10 or 11...) Ness loves to play and color. She has a HUGE imagination and can play (& talk!) by herself for hours.
Lunch- Jaxon (the little neighbor boy we watch a couple mornings a week), Tyson, and Ness. She almost always wants sandwich & chips!-
Nessa LOVES anything girly! Her and Hallie each have their section of the medicine cabinet with thier own "precious" things. Ness loves to put on lotion, chapstick, etc. before going to school. I have to mention that she loves boys and boys love her- not a good thing if you ask me :) ! I only hope this isn't the real reason she gets dolled up before school - Janessa and Chandler off to school! Nessa loves going to kindergarten. She has lots of friends in her class and feels so big that she can read now- After school is snack time, play time, dinner, then bath time! She usually prefers a shower, but it looks like this night was a bath- look at that smile :)

We usually let the kids have a snack before bed. This night was cookies and milk, yum! (don't mind the Halloween napkins, these pictures are a few weeks old). Good night Janessa! We love you!!

Girl's Weekend!!!

Every year my Grandma Lords (Gramsy) takes all the girls to Park City for a fun shopping weekend! I look forward to it every year, we always have so much fun! This year my mom, sister, neice, and my girls and I went Fri. morning to get some extra shopping time in SLC. First we went to a mall and grandma got each of the girls a Build-A-Bear before we met with my grandma, aunts, cousins, and all the girls in my grandma's sister's side for dinner- (probably about 30-40 of us!) Then we went to the motel and did tattoos and painted finger/toe nails- a yearly tradition :)Usually we go in Oct. for Witch's Night Out in Gardner Village but this year we went a couple weeks later to go to my cousin, Ashley's, baby shower. Here's the group of us ready to hit the outlet malls!! For lunch we went back to my aunt & uncle's condo for the shower. Here's baby Jackson, he's SO adorable!
Here's some of the things Hallie & Nessa got, among several toys, sunglasses, etc.... Fun times!!

Halloween!!

This year was definantly one of our best Halloween's ever! Earlier in the day I took a bunch of pictures then took the kids to see grandparents, which is always fun (something we need to be better at). Then that night Andrew got home early and my brother, Lynn, wanted to come hand out our candy so we all could trick-or-treat together. It was such a warm peaceful night and we had a great time with just our little family.

Hallie decided to be an angel, Janessa was a witch, and Tyson was a UPS man. My mom took one of Andrew's shirts and made it smaller, so cute! The Sunday before, we carved pumpkins (that my parents grew in their garden) at my Grandma & Grandpa Lords. My grandma even had the kids make a witch's brew with different things like spider legs, skeleton bones, etc. There would have been some great pictures and of course I didn't have my camera :( -but their pumpkins turned out great and they were very proud of them! Here's Drew & mini-Drew, I waited all day for this picture :)
