Steven's HOME!!

My baby brother got home from his mission last Wed. He served in Manaus, Brazil and did an amazing job. It has been so fun having him here. We got to listen to him speak in church yesterday, and Saturday we went to Big Jud's and Green Canyon (the 2 things he missed the most!). He's going to BYUI in Jan. and just got a job being a runner for the Christmas season for UPS. Everything is going well for him and it'll be fun to see where life takes him now :)

Here's a few pictures from the airport- waiting.....These next 2 of my parents are so funny. This was as he was coming down the stairs. We could see him through the glass :)
Yeah!! He made it! I LOVE this picture. It still brings tears to my eyes.

Isn't he handsom? Whoever he marries is one lucky girl! We're so glad he's home :)

Happy Halloween

Another fun Halloween has come and gone. It was so nice to have it on a Sat. this year! My wonderful brother came and handed out our candy again so we could go trick-or-treating as a family. We had SO much fun and it was a perfect warm, calm night. After a million suggestions from everyone we know, Hallie finally decided to be a Chinese princess, Janessa was a black cat, and Tyson a UPS man again.
We carved pumpkins Fri. night which is always fun. Poor Andrew always ends up scraping them all out himself but Hal & Ness drew their own designs and Ty loved his car on fire!!

Here's all the cousins meeting at grandma & grandpa's to trick-or-treat.

Sat. was also Janessa' first basketball game. Her friend's mom was coaching a team this year so she wanted to try it. She really liked it and did a great job. She is taking it very seriously and practices her dribbling downstairs every day :)

Fun weekend!

The last few weeks....

This is all quite random, but here's a little catch-up post for the last few weeks.

About 3 weeks ago, the whole family got the flu. The doctor didn't test to see which flu it was because they have the same symptoms and medicine. Janessa got it first and within 3 days we all got to be so lucky. Redbox made a fortune on us this week! Everyone got better except Nessa's cough. Every winter she gets this really weird cough that never goes away. We took her back in because it sounded like she couldn't catch her breath She's been using this nebulizer and it seems to be helping. We'll see how it goes and will have to have her tested for Asthma. We finally painted the shelf/wall in Tyson's room a couple weeks ago. It sat forever because I couldn't decide what to do with his room. Every time we talked about it he wanted orange, because he is seriously obsessed with this color. Half his closet is orange shirts because that's all he wants to wear so we gave in and now I'm even more stuck! I can not find anything to go in this room! I have a hard time making up my mind, especially when it comes to my house. I just want it perfect and nothing I find is perfect...
My sister got married last week!!! I'm so excited for her. She is so cute & happy and deserves the very best. Matt is great and so are Mal's new sisters, Ashley and Gracie. They are such a cute ( & busy!) family.
Last weekend our friends had a really fun Halloween party. We ran around town racing other groups trying to get pictures of all the clues we were given. I'm not sure why I didn't get a real picture of us, but one of the stops of the game was to go in this costume shop and kiss with masks on, so that is just what we did! Sometime it's OK to act like teenagers, right??...

Tyson hates getting his hair cut so Andrew hooked up the XBox360 the other day and let him play a motorcycle/ATV game and now that is all he wants to do! It's been a fun little battle every day trying to limit it :) Well, that's a little catch-up before all the Halloween pictures tomorrow! Hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!

Hallie's Birthday/ Park City

I can't believe my big girl turned 9 this weekend! Hallie is such a sweet girl and such a big help in our family. Her birthday was on Fri. but we were leaving for Park City that morning so we had her party Thursday. She wanted to make bracelettes (any jewelry is her new love!), have a pinata, and make little pizzas so that is exactly what we planned and it turned out great!

Hallie & Malarie could totally pass as sisters in this picture-!
Here's the whole group in line for the pinata-
Ha, ha silly-

Moto even got a present! My mom got Hallie this sweatshirt to keep him warm this winter :)
Where was Tyson & Andrew during the party??? Oh, they decided to hang out at the doctor's office instead. We were setting out the beads for the bracelettes and Ty decided to shove a bright green one up his nose so they got back right when all the kids were leaving! Thank you mom for coming and helping with the party...!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Every Oct. my grandma (Gramsy) takes all the girls to Park City for a shopping weekend. We left early Fri. morning and went to Gateway mall, dinner with my granma's sister's daughters/grandaughters and had a tatoo/nail polish party that night in the motel-

Here's early Sat. morning with grandma ready to hit the outlets -!
When we got home there were still balloons every where so Andrew got out his blowdart gun and the kids had a fun time popping them all...

Fun, busy few days! It was so nice to just relax and watch conference on Sunday. Thanks to everyone who helped make Hallie's birthday special, and thanks grandma for the fun weekend!
We are so blessed to have such great friends & family so close :)

Day at the fair

This is a couple weeks late, but we went to the EISF this year to watch my cousin Adrian in the demolotion derby. His car didn't do super well, but the kids thought is was awesome. I don't think Tyson even blinked!
We went earlier in the day and looked around, then met up with my parents when Andrew had to get ready for the derby. We were all in line for the kids roller coaster and Hallie decided it looked boring and wanted to go on this big one so grandma (thankfuly) went with her-!

Fun day! We didn't make it last year so it was fun to be there again.

End of summer activities...

I have to remember to upload all the pictures backwards next time because they are SO hard to put in the right order (does anyone else have this problem, where they won't move?)!! Ugh! So these go from most recent and back the last week or so, very out of order---

If you happen to be going to the Demolition Derby this year at the fair be sure to cheer loud for my cousin #10!! Go Adrian! Andrew is part of his pit crew so we hope the car does awesome...it'll be a fun day...can't wait.

Yesterday was Hallie & Janessa's first day of school. So far so good :) They both love their teachers and have lots of friends in their classes.
Last night we went to a friend's birthday party where the kids had a blast! There was cotton candy, llama rides, a bounce house, and Hallie even caught a frog in the yard! So much fun!!

Last Monday Andrew said he'd plan FHE so we went to this skate park in Shelley he has seen while delivering there. The kids thought this was the best thing ever. We haven't tried the one in Tautphaus but we will now! Friday we went with Steph & Mal to Ross Park. It was such a warm, fun day. Great way to end the summer :)
Last week we made one last stop at the zoo with grandma and Lynn. It was a good day, there were a lot of animals out and a lot of babies that were born over the summer.
Wow, I can't believe summer is over! It's sad, but I love fall too. We have a pretty busy schedule this year. I'm helping at Tyson's pre-school which starts in a couple weeks, and all 3 of them start gymnastics next week which I am teaching a few classes to trade for that also. Busy, busy! I'm just grateful we have the ability to do all these things :)
