Volleyball, Face Paint, and Truck

Hallie is playing on a competitive volleyball team this year. She is doing awesome and we love watching her. She has had 2 tournaments so far. She has an awesome serve and practices all the time. I especially love the confidence this is giving her :) Janessa's friend had a professional face painter come to her birthday party.Ness loved it and was very sad to have to wash it off but now we have a picture to remember it. She is also doing the volleyball camp this year again and loves it too. Andrew is so good at working on motors. He completley rebuilt this motor for the little Toyota truck that we sold last night. We bought a new truck a few weeks ago so up until yesterday we had 5 vehicles... now we just have to sell the little GTI and the side of our house will look much better!

Janessa's Baptism

March 12th our sweet Janessa was baptised into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was such a special time I really can't put into words. Andrew did such a great job and I am so grateful for him and for the priesthood that he holds to be able to baptise our kids. He gave such a beautiful confirmation and I hope and pray Janessa will contiue to seek out the spirit that was felt that day. My friend Megan made her dress that turned out beautiful. My sister-in-law took more pictures of Janessa afterwards that I'm anxious to see.

We had a lunch afterward at our home. Marcie made the most delicious strawberry shortcake and chocolate covered strawberries with a 'J' on them :)

We have the best family and friends and I'm so grateful for them all. The 3 guys were all standing there like they planned to wear green ahead of time, then we realized a lot of people were wearing green so we got a group pic.
Steven and Micaela are engaged! We are so excited to get a new sister and aunt. They will be married Aug. 18th in the Portland temple. All the kids love them so much.

Grant 10 months

Here's a quick update on baby boy. He is so busy and happy. It's funny because most of the pictures I have of him are when he's gotten into something and I couldn't help but take a picture :) He is super close to walking. I know he could do it if he was just a tad braver. He's been crawling for almost 4 months now so it should be real soon! We are all so in love with him! How could you not with those cheeks?!

This is a pretty mean picture, but I wanted one of the 3 teeth he got all at once! The tooth on the left was there just a couple weeks before. Poor baby, it was a rough few weeks for him :)

February Update

Our month must have been busy because I am way behind! Janessa turned 8 on the 20th and Tyson turned 5 on the 24th. This year they both wanted their birthday party at the gym so we invited all their friends and did it together. It was a fun, crazy time!

Grandma & grandpa Hufford came from Boise for the weekend. Andrew has wanted one of these remote control cars for a long time so he decided to get 'Tyson' one for his birthday...

...I think he and his dad had way more fun with it than Ty...!

Hallie and Janessa have started volleyball again this year. Janessa is doing the mini camp and Hallie is on a traveling team. This is her uniform and she has her first game on March 19th. I can't wait and neither can she :)
For our girl's night this month we learned to make fondant and decorate cakes. It was a lot easier than I thought and was a lot of fun. I need a lot more practice though!
There's something special about brothers. These two love each other so much.
A couple more funny pictures of Ty. He loves to make us laugh and will do anything to do it.

On a not-so-good note, our kitchen sink got a huge crack in it a few weeks ago. The company sent us a new sink we just need to find someone to put it in. It's of course the side with the disposal. I will never take it for granted again once it is fixed :)

It's a New Year!

This is one super duper excited boy on his way to his first soccer game... Tyson is on his 3rd of 6 weeks of soccer. We got together a bunch of friends and neighbors and they are having a blast. My awesome brother, Steven, and his girlfriend Micaela are their coaches and they are so cute with the kids. Andrew gave Ty these wrist bands and he thinks they are the best things ever. He'll run a lot, then stop and wipe his forehead while saying 'whooo'! It has been a great experience and I'm sure he'll play a lot more as he gets older.
I thought this was so cute. Ness fell asleep on the coach the other day so I had to sneak a picture :)
A couple weekends ago we talked Andrew into hanging the street signs in the basement. We've slowly over the years been stealing signs when we see one we like....jk. Andrew's dad works for the state transportation dept. and when we were in Boise for Thanksgiving he had some at their house that he was using for different things so we (I) begged to go get some. We have about 14 up around the room and it makes such a big difference down there. They light up with any indirect light or flash.

Mr. G got his first taste of Oreo the other night, thanks to his dad. He loved it of course.

Christmas 2010

We had such a great Christmas this year. I love having little kids to bring so much excitement to the holidays. The day came way too fast and was over way too fast, but we enjoyed every minute. Here's the sleepy eyes bright and early.... Santa brought Hallie a new bike...
Janessa Zuzu pets and accessories...

Tyson a MobiGo...
and Grant a carseat! We have a forward facing one but he outgrew his carrier at 7 months so we had to get one that was rear facing...silly BIG boy.

We opened presents at home then headed to grandma & grandpa's for breakfast....
Here's Marcie, Ness, and Doug-
Hallie, Grandma, and Gramsy-
Grant with his '1st Christmas' bib-
Grandpa-
Andrew got his first pair of Jordan's. He always wanted a pair when he was younger and (lucky for him) Steven drew his name this year!
Lynn was in tears with his new bluetooth set-
Andrew got a group shot from the kitchen, I love this picture-
Hallie & Janessa got the DSI XL's that they wanted, but weren't expecting, so that was a lot of fun to watch. We were all very spoiled :) I'm so grateful for my family. I love them all so much and I'm so glad we all live so close.
That evening we went to Grandma & Grandpa Lords. Here's my grandpa reading the Christmas story out of the Bible....he is such an amazing guy. I really look up to him.
T-dog with his new guitar-
Grant got his first pickle and it kept him busy for a good half hour! Andrew's parents came a few days after Christmas for literally 2 hours then went back home to Boise. It was fun to see them for a short while though. They brought Jasmin& Jim's WII for the kids. It has been the funnest thing ever. They love it and play it ALL the time :)
